A Buddy System

Having a buddy system is a great way to keep yourself active, make new friends, and work toward your future goals. It can also be competitive, but in a good way. Go shopping, buy a dress, and hang up a new one that is a size smaller than you currently wear. Look at this dress every day and speak positive words like: "I am going to wear this dress to a party, a high school reunion, out on a date, or to have lunch with a friend. I will look and feel my best when I do this." It's your time to shine, and let others see all of the hard work and effort you have put into caring for your body, mind, and spirit. Speak words of affirmation over yourself daily, and treasure the person you are. Keep your eyes fixed on your goals, and keep on keeping on. Don't look back; you are moving forward. You can't change the past, but you can create what you want for the future. Take a walk with a friend, or get a group of friends together and walk after work, or on your lunch hour. Keep moving and keep meeting your goals one at a time. Day by day, you will see a difference in you and your body.
