One thing that you see in Holistic health is adrenal fatigue. It is not commonly recognized, but it does exist. When the body stays in a constant state of "fight or flight," it taxes the adrenal glands, leading to adrenal fatigue/burnout. However, some herbs that can help with this are: Ashwagandha, Chaga, Holy Basil, Ginseng, Licorice Root, Maca, and Reishi Mushrooms, to name a few. Not only can the adrenal glands become taxed, but you may also experience an imbalance in the hormone cortisol. This is one of the main causes of storing fat around our midsections. However, by using the proper herbs, lowering your stress level, and giving the adrenals the nourishment they need, you can restore balance.
